Whether I’m photographing one family or several generations gathering for a special trip, we’ll create the traditional portraits everyone wants along with the smaller groupings and candid moments that often become some of my favorite images.

Family Portraits for Every Generation
Whether I’m photographing one family or a large multigenerational group, I want everyone to come away with more than just one photograph of the entire family together.
For extended families, we’ll make time for the full group as well as the smaller relationships within it—individual families, grandparents with grandchildren, couples, siblings and other combinations that are meaningful to you. Those smaller portraits are an important part of every extended family session and often become some of the photographs families value most.
Many of the families I photograph are visiting Paso Robles together for a birthday, anniversary, family vacation or simply a chance to spend time together. When everyone is already gathered at a vacation rental or vineyard property, it’s a wonderful opportunity to create photographs that document this particular chapter of your family’s story.
The Portrait Experience
Consultation & Planning
Every successful session begins with a conversation. We’ll talk about your family, location, timing and anything else that will help make the session feel relaxed and well planned. Once booked, you’ll also receive my Family Portrait Style & Prep Guide to make wardrobe planning simple and stress-free.
Location, Timing & Direction
I take care of the details—from choosing the best areas of a property to watching coastal tides and weather and planning around the best light. During the session, I’ll provide relaxed, natural direction so everyone feels comfortable, especially when arranging larger family groups.
Professional Editing & Delivery
Your final photographs are individually edited for color, tone and consistency. Within approximately 7–10 days of your session, you’ll receive a private online gallery where you and your family can view, download and share your high-resolution images. Professional prints and other photographic products can also be ordered directly through your gallery and shipped to your home.
Planning Your Family Portrait Session
Family portrait sessions are available throughout Paso Robles, Templeton and California’s Central Coast, including vacation rentals, vineyard estates, beaches and other outdoor locations.

Where should we hold our session?
I’ll help you choose a location that works beautifully for your family. Many of my Paso Robles sessions take place right at a vacation rental or vineyard property, while families visiting the coast often choose locations in Cayucos, Morro Bay or Cambria. The best location depends on your family, where you’re staying and the type of setting you love.
Do I have to order prints through you?
Not at all. Your session includes high-resolution digital images with personal printing rights, so you’re welcome to print them wherever you choose. For convenience, professional-quality prints and photographic products can also be ordered directly through your online gallery and shipped to your home.
What should we wear?
Above all, wear clothing that feels comfortable and looks like you. I generally recommend coordinating colors and tones rather than matching outfits. Once your session is booked, you’ll also receive my Family Portrait Style & Prep Guide with suggestions to help make wardrobe planning easier.
