Debra and Tim . Templeton

From time to time I experience the love, presence and pleasure of God at weddings in a powerful and beautiful way. Debra and Tim’s wedding was one of those occasions. Everything from the window of sunshine in the midst of a wild day of weather to all of their family and friends made for a memorable day. The ceremony took place in Templeton and the reception was held at the Paso Robles Inn. The florals were done by Kim at The Flower Lady, the cake was done by Yaro Morris of The Cakery and Cory Templeton did the music. Enjoy.

Debra and Tim . Templeton (Part 1)

Photobucket

A few quick shots from Debra and Tim’s super fun wedding last weekend. Will post many more upon return from a much needed get away to enjoy time with family in Southern California. Notes on photos: these were taken on the way to the Reception at the Grain Silo in Templeton. I could simply spend the whole afternoon at this amazing site. So many great colors, textures, lines and design… love it. Defenitly a site for upcoming Engagement sessions. Happy Easter.

Erin and Chris . Paso Robles

Erin and Chris celebrated their wedding on a beautiful day, full of sunshine at the Paso Robles Inn. February is rather hit and miss with rain, however, Erin had been fervently praying for sunshine and that’s exactly what we got! Even though I haven’t shot a wedding here in a while, I was reminded of what a cool venue it really is. The beautiful florals were done by Lori Boe Floral Design, Judi Knapp did the cake and I had the pleasure of working alongside Videographer, Josh Morris of Rain Studios. Hair was done by the lovely ladies at Reveal Salon.
Make-up was done by Amy Borba. The amazingly talented Lisa Maksoudian shot the wedding with me. Lisa is fast becoming one of the hottest portrait photographers in SLO and am always honored and thankful for the weddings that we get to shoot together. Enjoy.

His Love

Photobucket

Lately, I’ve been reflecting upon the extravagant love and kindness of God. Even in my weakest moments and seasons of life, God takes delight in me. I’m loved simply because I’m His kid, not because of what I’ve done, am doing or even will do. This truth brings freedom to enjoy God and all that He has given me. The following song reflects so much of the gratefulness I have for this truth.
I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever
Over the mountains and the sea,
Your river runs with love for me,
and I will open up my heart
and let the Healer set me free.
I’m happy to be in the truth,
and I will daily lift my hands:
for I will always sing of when
Your love came down.
I could sing of Your love forever,
I could sing of Your love forever,
I could sing of Your love forever,
I could sing of Your love forever.
Oh, I feel like dancing –
it’s foolishness I know;
but, when the world has seen the light,
they will dance with joy,
like we’re dancing now.

Signs II

Every now and then I enjoy taking photo field trips that allow me the freedom to shoot for myself. These are fun exercises that keep my stoke for photography alive. Last year I shot a series on “Signs”. Recently I added to my collection. Here are a few that caught my eye. The first two are of the old diner that sits off the side of the road just before Buellton. I had fun enhancing a bit with some of the TR actions. Enjoy.

Engagement Favorites . 2007

I simply love to do engagement sessions! It’s a wonderful opportunity to get to know the couple, explore all the amazing photographic nooks and crannies of the Central Coast and have a load of fun in the process. Here’s a few of my favorite engagement shots of 2007. Enjoy!

Wedding Favorites . 2007

I just love shooting weddings. Ever since I shot my first wedding eight years ago, I look back at each year with a sense of gratefulness and appreciation for all the cool couples, venues and people I get to work with. In fact, I really don’t look at this thing called “wedding photography” as work, it’s more of a passion that I find great pleasure from. Culling through the thousands of images from this past year brought back memories of why I love to do what I do.

Here are a few of my favorites…

Janette and Ken . Paso Robles

A wonderful wedding to conclude my 2007 wedding season. Janette and Ken were married at the Lone Madrone Winery in Paso Robles. I had the pleasure of working with the following vendors: Rhonda Johnson, make-up and hair. Florals by Jessica from Flowers by Jessica. A beautiful couple, brilliant sunshine, vibrant colors and a day to remember. Enjoy

Stephanie and Peter . Engagement

A recent Engagement session with Stephanie and Peter. We had a blast roaming the streets of SLO and then played at the beach as the sun set. Stephanie and her family are precious friends of our family. I remember Stephanie as a First grader, enjoying our summer bonfires at Avila beach. She is all grown up now and pursuing a degree and career in law. I look forward to shooting their wedding next year in the Bay area. Enjoy.
