Jessica and Joey were married at the Mission Church in San Luis Obispo and had their reception at the Santa Margarita Ranch. I always have a blast working with couples like Jessica and Joey. Having done several weddings now at the Ranch, it is typical to have a huge gathering of some of the most fun-loving, cowboy types you would ever want to meet. These people really know how to have a party, celebrate, kick up their heels and let loose. I love it.
Jessica was actually a former Photo student. She has an infectious smile and always radiates with a since of life and joy. Katie Noonan provided the beautiful floral design.
Joey and the posse posing for a quick photo prior to entering a quick, pre-ceremony ritual at the infamous Bulls Tavern across the street from the Mission.
Jessica and Joey enjoyed each and everyone of their 650 guests on a beautiful day full of sunshine.

I spent a wonderful time getting to know Erin and Darren who will be tying the knot this October at the Shore Cliff Lodge in Pismo Beach. Since Darren is a Park Ranger at Montana De Oro we thought it only fitting to do the session there. Darren led us to some fun locations that were nothing short of majestic. Even though I live so close to this wonderful stretch of coastline I rarely shoot here. After this session I’m sure I’ll be making this a must for my list of favorite beach shoots. As you can see Darren and Erin are a cute couple and have fun-loving personalities to match. I very much look forward to shooting their wedding.

I couldn’t resist balancing some rocks as we waited for the light to warm.

Jennifer and Junior celebrated their wedding in Pismo Beach at the Sea Venture Resort. It’s always a pleasure to work with Lauren McIntyre and her outstanding staff. Lisa Maksoudian and myself started with the beautiful bride in her room and then headed down for some relaxed formals in and around the hotel. It was a stellar day for a beach wedding with no lack of glorious sunshine. A good thing, since it poured buckets of rain for their engagement session back in January.
The colorful and vibrant florals were provided by Jenny McNiece, an incredible floral designer who I am blessed to work with especially on most of my beach weddings.
The cake was sculpted by Yarrow Morse and crew at The Cakery.

What would a beach wedding be without cruising around the beach at sunset.

Aubrey and Garet had their wedding at the Cambria Pines Lodge , a favorite North Coast venue of mine. As you can see Aubrey was a beautiful bride. Her smile was always full of life and her spirit overflowing with joy.
I enjoy all the private garden alcoves that make for great backdrops.
Loved the fun array of colors each of the bridesmaids wore.
Lisa Maksoudian worked as second shooter and assistant with me. Lisa has an incredible love and eye for children as you can see from these photos she took.
Christy Wilkinson from Morning Star Creations was in full form with another creative and colorful cake.
